Cannabis as Medicine
Recent YouGov polls indicate that over 1.4 million patients in the UK are currently consuming cannabis to help manage their diagnosed medical conditions with a further 6.7 million adult patients who would like to discuss cannabis-based treatment options with their healthcare teams.
Changes to UK law in November 2018 allow specialist doctors to prescribe cannabis-based medicinal products (CBMPs) under certain circumstances.
2020: The year of the Nurse
The World Health Organisation has designated 2020 The Year of the Nurse and Midwife. CPASS launched The Nurse’s Arm in founding partnership with former Health Minister and MP, Professor Ann Keen RN, at the Royal College of Nursing in London. With a vision to collaborate, advocate, research and educate, helping frontline healthcare professionals to make an impact on how cannabis-based medicinal products (CBMPs) may feature in the future of healthcare in Britain.
Our nurse, midwife and educator led principle focus is on improving health, clinical outcomes and patient experience, through building nursing and midwifery leadership capacity to make significant improvements to the cannabinoid patient care environment.
